About me
A native English speaker born and raised in the US, I moved to France to study French and linguistics in university. My professors introduced me to translating by entrusting me with an article for academic publication, and I haven’t looked back since.
I eventually married there, worked as French to English translator and editor for the International Union of Architects in Paris and a freelancer, and generally soaked up the European lifestyle for nearly two decades.
When the hustle, bustle, and cold became too much, I relocated to the Dominican Republic where I’ve been working remotely and freelancing since 2011.
My work spans development and human rights, business and marketing, technical and research documents, as well as legal and creative projects, and progressively expanded to subtitling and QA.
I’m always drawing from my experiences living and volunteering around the world to deeply understand your message and convey it clearly and naturally in English, with a human touch.
